Which internship is right for me?

There are several things to take into account when deciding which internship you should do. It can be overwhelming to have so many options, so let's break it down.

Step 1: What are my interests?

All of the internships are broken down into four categories:

A: Hospital Medicine

B: Global/Public Health and Community Medicine

C: International Development and other non-health opportunities

D: Multicultural Health and Cultural Diversity

Look over this list and decide what you want to get out of your experience abroad.

Step 2: When do I want to go?

All of the Global Health internships are during either spring and/or summer term. If you know which term you would like to spend abroad, this can be a great way to narrow down your options.

Step 3: How long do I want to be there?

Internships can run anywhere from 3-6 weeks. Additionally, some of the programs can be extended a week or two for an additional cost.

Step 4: Where do I want to go?

Now that you've narrowed down your interests and other logistics, you can start looking at which countries and programs fit your criteria. With 12 countries to choose from, there are no shortage of options. Click on the tabs at the top of the page to learn more about each program!
