Internships begin on June 27, 2020 and are for 4 weeks, but can be extended to 5 or 6 weeks for an extra fee.
Housing will be arranged by Global Engagement Institute. Students have the option of a homestay consisting of daily breakfast and up to 5 dinners per week, or staying in a guesthouse with daily breakfast.
Students in the program Summer Term are required to take a minimum of 6 credits from this list of courses: IAS 399, HLTH 403, HLTH 481, HLTH 492, HLTH 491, LFSCI 199 or IAS 380.
This cost includes LDS undergraduate tuition for six credits Summer Term, international health insurance coverage, housing, some meals (depending on housing option -students will have to cover some meals), airport greet and meet at Kigali airport, transportation to program activities, orientation, educational costs, and full-time on-site coordination and support in Rwanda. This does not include international airfare, passport, visa(s), immunizations, personal expenses, some meals, cell phones/international data, personal excursions, transportation outside of the orientation days, meals outside of the orientation days and the homestays. Students may opt to pay extra for one or two extra weeks ($390 per week), if wanting more internship hours. This will be an extra cost to the student and will be payable to GEI directly.
